Mint and Pink for the 100th Time this Summer

Pink and mint have probably been the two colors that I have worn the most this summer.  I love the color combination and this will probably be my last mint and pink post for the year.

I wore this number to dinner with my husband and couple-friends of ours over the weekend.  I probably say this during every post, but I am trying to get in as much color as possible before the fall...where I wear lots of blacks, browns, jeans, etc.  I am also trying to wear as many skirts/shorts etc.  I am very excited for fall this year though.  I have a love/hate relationship with the fall.  It is one of my favorite times of the year...pumpkin coffee, cool, crisp air, great food, layered clothing, holidays, etc.  However, right after fall, comes winter.  And I.hate.winter.  I am not a fan of really cold weather (I'm from the South where it is warm/hot for a large portion of the year).  So the cold weather really gets to me...and it doesn't help that I am cold natured.  Anyway, moving on...I am still excited for the fall!  What is your favorite part of fall?

You might have seen me wear this dress in colder temps here.
I also wore this necklace here.

Twirling...who doesn't love the twirl in a dress like this?!?

What I Wore to Work

Happy Monday!  I wore this to work recently and felt so creative about it.  It was a dress that I tied a button down over and made it look like a skirt.  I was about to get rid of the dress because the top is a little dated of a look, but I tried it this way and ended up loving it!  It makes me want to never get rid of any dresses for the possibility of trying to wear them as a skirt.  Have you ever turned a dress into a skirt similar to the way I did here?

Mint and Pink

Happy Thursday!  I hope your week is going well and continues to do so!

I have been wearing lots of summery colors lately.  I'm trying to get as much of that in before my summer is over and I am wearing darker clothes all of the time.  I have had several outfits where I have paired mint with pink.  What is your favorite color to pair with mint?

Colorful

Happy Friday!  I hope you enjoy your weekend!

I wore this look for errands recently and fell in love with how the shorts and handbag brought out the colors in the shirt!  Are you taking advantage of bright colors while you still can?

Also, I am so excited to have opened up an online store with stuff from my closet!  The items that I put on this store are pieces that I have enjoyed but it's time to move on for me.  I wouldn't sell anything in a condition that I wouldn't want to receive it in.  You can visit my store through the following link:  http://shopmarlowescloset.storenvy.com/

Happy Shopping!

I Love Him

Just a few of me and the hubs!

And just a little FYI...the only good pictures I ever get with him, he is laughing.  The reason is because he just made a stupid/silly face in the picture before and thinks it is hilarious.  Therefore, the next picture (the only good picture) is of him laughing.

Fun Print

Good Morning!  I hope you have had a great start to your week!  Mine has started a little hectic with some hiccups at work first thing and all day on Monday, but hopefully it will be smooth sailing for the rest of the week.  Monday wasn't a bad day, but it was definitely a Mon-day!

I wore this dress to work last week.  It is a little shorter than I like to wear to work...and for some reason my mirrors didn't portray the length like these pictures do!  You know, I did the 'below the fingertip' check and all....I thought everything was good.  Once I saw these pictures I was like...wow..that's a little shorter than I would have liked.  I still love the dress and got a lot of compliments at work, but I think I will save it for my personal time.  AND this is where I go into my long leg tangent again.  Any other person 5'7" and under...this dress would have been the perfect length for work.  So I have a lot of dresses that I can't wear to work, but others may be able to.  It's a little deceiving because I still have a lot of leg that is actually hidden under that dress!  Anyway, I am not complaining about being tall...I am actually proud of it.  I am just saying it can be inconvenient at times because when I want to wear amazing dresses or skirts (like the one below) to work, I can't.
Do you have length problems??  Too much length or not enough?

Neon

Happy Monday!  I hope your weekend was amazing!  My husband and I spent most of the weekend at home, which was so nice. I also started a project with my dresser in our bedroom.  My intentions were to easily strip the paint, buy my 1 gallon of pain for $30-$40, paint the dresser and be done in a few hours.  That is not how it went at all.  In fact, after working on the drawers for most of the day on Saturday and several trips to Lowes and Michaels, I obly have the drawers stripped of paint and all but one primed. This has turned into a much bigger project than anticipated.  Apparently, I also have expensive taste because the paint I want is $75.  I refuse to spend that much in paint and have decided on an alternative.   I plan on doing a post about the whole project, so look for that in the near future.
This is what I wore to work one day last week. I know that i don't have many days of summer left so I am trying to take advantage of the neon clothes as much as possible before summer is over.  I do think this blouse can transition into fall though.  What articles of clothing are you trying to wear before the summer is over??
You might have seen this blouse here.
