Black on Black

Happy Monday! I hope your weekend was fabulous. I went to an amazing wedding over the weekend and spent some quality time with my husband.

For the outfit below, my husband and I went to dinner with some friends of ours for my husband's birthday a couple of weekends ago. I loved this top when I saw it at Express, but I had the hardest time styling it. I tried it on with regular flare leg jeans, which I thought would be my favorite look. It did not look good...not to me anyway. Then I tried it on with regular skinny jeans...and it still wasn't wowing me. Then I paired it with my black skinny jeans and I was finally satisfied. I added all black accessories (with some gold accents), and I got the look below. Do you ever have an item that you love but have a hard time styling it?

Birthday

Good Morning Loves! I wore this sexy number last weekend for a night out with my friends for my birthday. I shopped all over for the perfect dress (something sexy, but different than what everyone else was wearing) but I couldn't find anything. I called up my friend Summer at Random at Market Common in Myrtle Beach and she said she had some things that I might like. I tried on tons of things...dresses tops, pants (which were usually high waters on me..story of my life), etc. I tried on this top and loved it. We worked and worked trying to find a bottom, but I really didn't want to show too much skin. I wanted a peak...not show my entire belly (that was so high school ;)). Anyway, as I was standing in her store, I remembered I bought this high-low metallic looking (bronzey) skirt from her during the spring and knew that it fit high on the waist. I tried it on and it was perfect! I paired it with these sexy Nina heels that I bought years back for another birthday party of mine and voila! I really love this look...what do you think?

Movie Date(s)

Recently I went to the movies with my husband and one of my close friends. We saw White House Down. I thought it was a great movie and my favorite scene was the car scene on the white house lawn. That's all I'm going to say since I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't seen the movie. Have you seen the movie? If so, what was your favorite scene?

This is the outfit I wore to the movies. I LOVE these pants. I feel like I am stepping out of the box and the pants are sooo comfortable. I could wear them all the time!
