Date Night

Last night, my husband and I went to dinner at Bonefish Grill.  It is one of our favorite chain restaurants where we eat.  I absolutely love their bang bang shrimp and Pomegranate martinis.  My husband works every Friday and Saturday night, so we don't get to do date night on the weekends.  We have come to realize that we have to do date night when we have the opportunity.....which ends up being Sunday night or weeknights.  Anyway, this is what I wore to dinner.  It was really cold last night, so a heavy jacket was a must. This Thanksgiving, I was thankful for so much.  I am truly blessed in my life...with a loving husband, the best family, and awesome friends!  All of my posts are about material things...clothes, jewelry, etc.  I believe that if you feel that you look good, you will emit that feeling to others.  Clothes definitely can help make a person feel good about themselves.  However, material things aren't really what matter in life.  It's what you make of your life and how you live it.  As long as I have family and friends, I have everything. 

Pink

Is my favorite color! This is a true statement. However, I don't have as many pink clothing items as you would think that I do. I've come to notice this and I'm not really sure why I don't have more pink pieces. Anyway, I love layers and quickly put this together this morning. I've seen lots of blazers being worn in different ways this season....dressed up, dressed down. How do you like to wear blazers? Would you choose bright colors like this pink one?

PS-I wanted to wear my nude heels with this, which I think would have looked better, but I thought I felt a tickle in the back of my throat and am trying to avoid getting sick (for me cold feet that won't get warm=sick)!

Breaking Dawn II

I went to see Breaking Dawn II tonight with my friend Kim and I loved it!! We are huge fans of the series and have made it a tradition to go every year to see the newest one. We are kinda sad that it's over....but we will just have to make up for it with new movies!

Shelac or Gel?

I love getting Shelac nail polish because it doesn't chip or get damaged for three weeks. The last time I went to get my nails done, they put gel on me instead (although the process was the same). I haven't been able to tell a difference in the wear so far, but I've only had the gel on for a few days. I love not having my nails chip and being able to clean or do dishes without damaging the polish. It is rather expensive if done on a regular basis though. Have you tried either of these? Do you like Shelac or gel polish better?

Picture Shenanigans

Yesterday, my husband and I took some photos...mainly because I want to continue documentation of our lives together, and partly for Christmas cards.  Thankfully, we have friends and family who are willing to do this for us and in this case, it was my friend Kim.  She makes me feel so comfortable when taking pictures and we always have a blast doing so...that is until my husband is over the picture-taking process!  He hates taking pictures and usually does silly faces, poses, etc.  The photographers usually get a trip out of it.  Do the men in your life love or hate taking pictures?

Art Show

Last night my friends and I went to an art show in Myrtle Beach. It was packed and we had a blast! No matter where we go or what we do, I always have an amazing time with these girls.
