Appalachian Mountains

Hello loves!  Sorry that I have been MIA lately.  Last week my husband and I ventured to the Appalachian mountains in North Carolina with close couple friends of ours.  It was a much needed get-away to a log cabin with an amazing view.  We went skiing one day, but we mostly spent time enjoying the cabin and watching the sunset in the hot tub.  We also cooked comfort foods and took a 5.5 mile hike to a small waterfall.     Where do you like to go for quick vacations?
