Evening Sun

I have found that the evening sun produces the best pictures!  I don't know what it is, but it makes me love the photos 100 times more.  I have been learning a lot about what looks good and what doesn't when taking pictures for the blog.  A lot of times, the brightness of the earlier-in-the-day sun will "brighten out" certain things like the light blue design on a white shirt....making it look only white.  While the evening sun makes me look tanner, makes my skin look clearer, and my outfits look better.  I still take pictures when I get the opportunity, regardless of the time of day.  Oh, and don't get me started on night pictures....they never do an outfit justice.  I know that would seem obvious, and you can get clear pictures at night....they just don't look as good to me.  BTW-I am definitely no expert....so this is not, by any means, expert advice.  What is your favorite time of day to take photos?

Spring Fever

Good Morning Loves and Happy Friday!  Here is a look into something I wore recently when the weather was warmer.  I know that all I talk about is warm weather...but I love it so much!  It's not only that it makes me feel good, but there are farmer's markets, fresh foods, warm summer nights, walking on the beach at night, grilling with friends, packing the swimming pools with 6-8 nieces and nephews, cool drinks, volleyball, shorts and sandals....the list could go on.  So here it is...another post about me talking about warm weather....I hope it meets us to stay soon!

And we're back....to cold weather.  And it's March....almost Easter.  Hopefully the warm weather will be here to stay soon!

How cute is this dress?  I fell in love with it when I tried it on.  It is THE most comfortable maxi dress that I have ever worn.  Also, I don't know about you, but for us 5'9" and up gals, maxi dresses are hard to come by.  When you're shorter, you can have it hemmed....when you're tall, you can't add fabric to a dress that's already too short. Tall girl problems.  Do you have issues with clothing items being too short or too long?

It's the Weekend!

I don't know about you, but I think the weekends should be 5-2 in that we have 5 days off and 2 days on.  I think that sounds much better than working 5 days with 2 days off!

Anyway, last night my husband and I went to a concert.  It was a band that he really liked and I surprised him with tickets.  He was so excited!  This is what I wore...regretted the shoes after about 2 hours of standing.  What is your style when dressing for concerts?

 As much as I wear skinnies, I will always, always be a flare leg type girl.  I don't know what it is, but I think they are way more flattering.

Preview of My Wedding

My wedding day was the best day of my life so far!  It was in 2011, but it feels like it was just yesterday.  We planned for so long and it was over in a flash.  It was the one day I have waited for my whole life.  I did my best to savor every moment and I had so many, family and friends, that made sure I had the opportunity to relax and enjoy it all.  I will be posting our wedding story soon, but for now, here is a little preview.
