I'm finally getting to post again after my computer messed up a few days ago!  We were due for a new hard drive.  Anyway, we are attending Christmas parties galore this year.  Technically this is our second one, but I am naming it Christmas Party #1 for photo-posting purposes.  I had a long day at work and it was rainy outside so I really wanted to be warm and comfy.  This is Christmas Party #1 look.  You may have seen me wear this sweater here and these leather leggings here.  The party was definitely a great start to our Christmas party series!  Are you enjoying your Christmas celebrations so far?

The New/Old Dress

Hello loves! This dress has hung in my closet for a couple of years and I finally decided to put it on today. I have had the most compliments on it and it makes me wonder why I didn't rock it before now. It feels very feminine and with the cardigan, it was completely work appropriate. The weather was rainy so I had to make do with bad lighting inside.  What do you have in your closet that you have had for years and never have worn??

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like....Spring Time

All I can say is 75 degree weather! I love, love, love warm weather but this year I embraced the cold weather knowing it was coming. And here we are, two weeks before Christmas, and it's 75 degrees outside. Normally, I would be ecstatic....but it just doesn't feel like Christmas. Come New Year's Day I will be praying for 75 degree weather because I will be over the cold weather and ready for summer. You know...since the holidays will be over and all. Anyway, I did use this beautiful day as an excuse to wear some bright colors. And even though I wasn't prepared for the warmer weather, I am embracing it anyway and enjoying it to its fullest!

Channeling My Inner Audrey

Good Morning!  I have had the pleasure of having the last two days off from work because of a couple of long weeks.  I have been catching up on my social media outlets and heavily spending time on fashion blogs.  No better way to spend my mornings!  Especially while sipping on Snicker Doodle coffee and having my puppies at my feet.  Anyway, this is one of my recent work looks.  There are days that I have to wear something dressy because of meetings, but comfortable at the same time because of having to transport equipment between agencies.  This was one of those days.  This could have been amplified with some heels, but that just wasn't in the cards for moving equipment.

What I love about fashion and personal style, is that almost anything goes these days.  There was a moment, when growing up, in which it seemed that clothes were a little boyish.  I remember thinking that I hope the trends start going back to girly things...because I love all things girl!  Maybe it wasn't that way everywhere, but it was definitely what was in style in my area at the time.  Trends come and go and sometimes I am so sad when they do!  I pick out items sometimes that I really love and want to be able to wear them for years, hoping they never go out of style!  What items do you have that you hope stay in style for a very long time?

Color Blocking

For the first part of this week, I traveled to another part of the state for a conference for work. I live in a tourist area and where I traveled to and stayed was in the city 2.5 hours away. The city is older and the buildings are adorable. We were able to walk anywhere we wanted to go, which I love!! Here I am color blocking....do you ever color block? Date Night

Last night, my husband and I went to dinner at Bonefish Grill.  It is one of our favorite chain restaurants where we eat.  I absolutely love their bang bang shrimp and Pomegranate martinis.  My husband works every Friday and Saturday night, so we don't get to do date night on the weekends.  We have come to realize that we have to do date night when we have the opportunity.....which ends up being Sunday night or weeknights.  Anyway, this is what I wore to dinner.  It was really cold last night, so a heavy jacket was a must.
